Welcome

Gloucester Strings Ukulele Club invites all those who play or want to learn to play the ukulele. All skill levels are welcome.

The club comprises a group of friendly and enthusiastic ukulele players who soon make new members feel at home. To us, playing the ukulele is first and foremost all about having fun.

We play and sing a wide variety of songs so there’s sure to be some that appeal to you.

And if you have a favourite song we don’t play, let us know, or better still, bring along a copy or email a copy to us. We love the challenge of a song we haven’t tried before.

Never played the ukulele?

So you’ve never played the ukulele before! But perhaps you’re intrigued by the popularity of this wonderful little instrument and want to know more? Then come along for an evening and just listen to us play.

Maybe you’ll feel tempted to give it a try? No problem – you can borrow one of our spare ukuleles for the evening.

For newcomers, we regularly run a Beginners’ Class in a separate room during the first half of the evening.
